Because I TOTALLY DID. Trying to find trans people talk about their experiences in Asatru, yes, this is what I wanted. Being told that having birth was Loki’s “punishment” for changing his gender and sleeping with a dude-horse. That is what I wanted.
Some icky stuff at that link. Folks talking about keeping their religion racially pure, honouring the caste system in India, and condemning gay people (possibly more, but that’s as far as I could stand to read).
There is definitely not enough critique of the nastiness that lurks in modern paganism (especially among this “warrior culture” crap).
