Reverse sexism.
Yes, it exists.
sex·ism
noun1.attitudes or behavior based on traditional stereotypes of sexual roles.2.discrimination or devaluation based on a person’s sex, as in restricted job opportunities; especially, such discrimination directed against women.By claiming that men as a whole are to blame for rape, or that men cannot be feminists, you are being sexist. Sexism does not only encompass women, and it does not only hurt women.
If you have to say “reverse”, you’re already admitting to an institutionalized system that benefits men over women, i.e. the institutionalized misogyny that makes sexism against men not a thing. Men might face discrimination, but sexism is institutionalized. The fact that people feel the need to say “reverse” to describe sex or gender-based discrimination against men in the first place reveals the actuality of the oppressive force.
So no, “reverse sexism” is not actually a thing.
